Road to 2033 & PAC27 Announcement Feedback

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF PAC27 & THE ROAD TO THE GREAT 2033 JUBILEE ON MAY 15TH, 2025 AT THE PAN EUROPEAN CONFRATERNITY FORUM HELD AT THE PONTIFICAL UNIVERSITY OF THE HOLY CROSS IN ROME, ITALY.

Dear Dennis,

Thank you for your presence, your clarity, and the Marian fire that you brought to the Forum.
Your talk was not just a presentation, but a witness — one that reminded us all that true devotion to Our Lady is not passive, but missionary.
You showed us that Her work is not confined to hearts alone, but seeks to shape culture, community, and communion. Your image of the orchestra She is assembling stayed with many of us.
You are, without question, one of the pillars upon which the future Pan-American Forum of Confraternities will be able to rest. What you are building in Canada is not just national, but continental — and it resonates deeply with what we are working to grow together.
“Dennis Girard’s talk at the VI Pan-European Forum was a prophetic and pastoral call to unity through Marian devotion. His words reminded us that Our Lady does not simply inspire – she mobilizes. As a member of the Vatican Archconfraternity of Saint Anne of the Parafrenieri, and as a member of the Steering Committee of the Pan-European Forum of Confraternities, I can say with joy that Dennis is one of the pillars upon which the future Pan-American Forum of Confraternities will be able to build.”

With fraternal esteem and joy for the road ahead,
Michele Guerra

Dear Dennis

“I was really moved by your talk during the 6th International Forum of Confraternities (Rome, 15 May 2025) and completely agree on your proposal on promoting a Pan-American Forum in the coming future. As you, I am convinced of their importance in today’s secularized society. Confraternities represent a perfect example of the popular piety of which the late Pope Francis gave us constant examples, and Pope Leo XIV has recently marked as one of his priorities. Moreover, the central role of our Lady will be an assurance that the work of the confraternities reaches the hearts of so many. My best wishes in your endeavours!”

Dear Dennis,

Your presence at the Jubilee of the Confraternities, together with Bishop Tremblay, was most appreciated and also very important, for several reasons.
It helped us understand how the “confraternity”, as public lay association of long tradition and vast presence in Europe, can adapt, operate and evolve also in North America.
The emphatic announcement of PAC27 was very galvanizing for the European Confraternities, as a strong confirmation of the “renaissance” that popular piety and confraternities are currently enjoying.
Your experience as a Marian apostolate based on a shrine, coupled with the Dominican spirituality of the Rosary, also gave us more clarity on how to dialogue with different kinds of confraternities and how to generate synergies with shrines.

Therefore I expect much spiritual fruits to be developed by this already historical event in Rome.

"Dennis is a charismatic person who manages to excite and concretely communicate his faith. As he has repeated many times, today more than ever people need to experience God. A real, concrete, tangible experience in this digital age. The project of the Pan-American Forum of Confraternities, placed under the protection and guidance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is what is needed today for the new evangelization and also to pursue the unity of the Church, as requested by Leo XIV. For this reason, sanctuaries, as privileged places of faith, can be a formidable instrument, supported by prayer and missionary zeal that Dennis and his wife demonstrate in a contagious way. I am very grateful to Dennis for the project of holding the first Symposium of the Pan-American Forum of Confraternities in 2026 in the United States, and the choice of the Augustinian Institute seems providential to me. Thank you Dennis for your tireless commitment!"
